The Barker Cafe welcomes you for a delicious cup of coffee brewed from Orange. Massachusetts roaster Dean's Beans. Dean’s Beans Organic Coffee was founded in 1993 with the mission of using specialty coffee as a vehicle for positive social, economic and ecological change at origin. Our student barista's are brewing espresso-based drinks and drip coffee in the sun-filled Barker Rotunda, where ample seating allows you to settle in and study, meet with a group or just relax and unwind.
The cafe is in the brightly sunlit entrance of the Laboratory for Integrated Science and Engineering (LISE) building. Start the day here with a freshly brewed Peet's coffee or espresso, complemented by freshly baked pastries. At lunch you can enjoy grab-n-go sandwiches, salads or snacks.
Want to host a group or event outside the scope of LISE's menu? We can help with that, too. Call our affiliated Crimson Catering at 617-496-6000.
Sun - R, 3pm-Midnight; closed for the summer starting May 8

Shhhh… it's a library with a cafe. The Lamont Library Cafe is brewing up new energy and ideas with a delicious cup of coffee brewed from Orange. Massachusetts roaster Dean's Beans. Dean’s Beans Organic Coffee was founded in 1993 with the mission of using specialty coffee as a vehicle for positive social, economic and ecological change at origin. Our student barista's are brewing espresso-based drinks and drip coffee, bubble teas, and plenty of sweet treat, light meal or snack options and bottled beverages.
At the Northwest Café, we keep the community brewing with Peet's coffee, and a variety of breakfast, lunch and light snack options. The café has plenty of seating, but you might also enjoy dining on the lawn in front of the Museum of Natural History, before or after your visit there! Be sure to take advantage of our reusable mug discount!
Catering services are also available for functions being held in the building. See our menu.
